Enjoy honey as raw as it comes! For years we’ve had the luxury of having a local bee keeper just down the road from us and man, does he have us spoiled!  As we continue to develop the offerings on our website, we thought this was a great opportunity to offer local, non-protein items! 

Rod Ohmstede has been in the bee business for more than four decades and has multiple colonies scattered around North Central Kansas and South Central Nebraska (including several in the vicinity of our pig farm). His honey is produced and packaged to order in his licensed and inspected facility in Smith Center, KS.  Rod traditionally sells his honey through numerous local stores, markets and also straight from his shop and now you can buy it here!

If purchased alongside our frozen meats, product will be shipped in the same insulated cold box - but no worries! Honey doesn’t actually contain enough water to freeze and will come out of the box just as decadent as the day it was bottled.
